These rules are subject to change at anytime. We will endeavour to announce any changes within the forums. Please make sure you read them either now or before you start posting:

1. Do not ask for replies to goto emails only - This defeats the object of the Discussion Forums and also removes any traceability if a deal goes wrong. If we cant see what has been said we cant help!
   
   
2. NO VCDs, DVDrs, Backup CDs/Games, CDRs etc - As VCDs are a grey area we do not allow ANY to be advertised wether they be legitimate or not. Do not advertise items that arn't released on sale! Do not advertise copied games or other media. You will be immediately banned if you are seen to be trading/selling ANY copied media.
   
   
3. No Auctions - ie. No asking for offers on items. If you want cash then put a figure on it.
   
   
4. No profanity, racial or homophobic remarks will be tolerated - Careful use of the * will get the point accross but do not aim abuse at any other user. Your account will be suspended if this is deemed true.
   
   
5. No Slander - please DO NOT slag off other people or companies. We don't mind you airing a grievance but please be contructive. Any slanderous comments will be removed.
   
   
6. No cross posting - ie. Only post a topic in one forum, do not spam it through all the others.
   
   
7. Under the Adult section, do not post cover pictures (or any other pornographic pictures) or links to Adult related websites - DO NOT post any underage or other illegal material. This forum was only made to prevent the porn from spreading into the main trading areas. Please bear in mind that this board attracts people from all ages and sex and could offend such people when posting. Do not use any of the mainstream swear words that maybe in the title. Use the * instead. Anyone entering the Adult Forum will have to subscribe to have Full Forum Access and in so doing agrees that they are of legal age and will not be offended by material being offered. Full Forum Access is a free subscription.
   
   
8. No blatent pimping of other related sites/software/hardware products - Please consult either the Webmaster or Moderator of the relevant forum BEFORE posting anything you think falls into this category. DVD Swaps does not offer a free advertising platform! If you wish to start limited promotion of your business then you by contributing to the site. Prices start from £50 and can be paid either by using NOCHEX or by sending a cheque. You can email myself at shepski@dvd-swaps.co.uk for more information on the pricing structure and terms of use. This includes the use of advertising your/a site in your signature. If in doubt .. ASK!
   
   
9. Affiliate links - To help support the running costs of this site there are a few affiliates that we ask people to use where possible to make their purchases. They are competitive in pricing, CD WOW as an example are generally cheaper than anyone else including PLAY.COM for DVD's. Links posted by users to sites that we have afilliation with may be changed by the moderators at their discretion to add in the sites affilate code. In the event of this happening they will add an EDIT: to the bottom of your post informing you.
   
   
10. Do not flame the moderators - Any abuse aimed at the moderators or myself will lead to your user account being permanently banned. The moderators, like myself, all help out on the site unpaid. We are all trying to add to a DVD community and keep this site a friendly and trusting place to be. The moderators of each forum are under instruction to edit/delete any posts that are deemed unsuitable. If you are unhappy with a 'dons' descision then please email them in the first instance. If you are still not happy then email myself at shepski@dvd-swaps.co.uk and between us we shall sort any problems out.
    
    
11. Do not use multiple threads to advertise individual items. If you have several DVDs for sale do not place them on individual threads. Place them all on one thread. Multiple threads will be deleted.

Other Information

Good Traders System - (also known as GTS)
DVD Swaps has introduced a Good Trader Rating system allowing you to view all the other users of these forums and what people have to say about dealing with them. This system is very similar to the eBay feedback so anyone who has used that will understand how it works, but it is very simple and straight forward. Although it is there for users to post their thoughts wether it be good or bad do not post fluffy words or other obscene comments.
